Cango Ethiopia
The Canadian Network of NGOs in Ethiopia, CANGO, was founded in January 2006, in Addis Ababa. The Network is voluntarily accessed by Canada-based NGOs operating in Ethiopia. Its overall purpose is to share information, promote cooperation and enhance collective action in an effort to address the challenges of poverty and governance in Ethiopia, including food and livelihood security, HIV/AIDS, disaster preparedness and response, capacity building of civil society and governance.

CANGO was formed from a belief that international NGOs should improve the coordination of their efforts to further affect change in the areas in which they work. In Ethiopia, where Canadians have contributed to development efforts for over three decades, this motivation could not be more relevant.
This website offers a portal into the ongoing effort by Canadian NGOs in Ethiopia to further improve on their common goal for the betterment of livelihoods in this country.
